Cripps Pink

Firm, crisp flesh, bright pink colour and a unique, tangy-tart, sweet flavour are characteristic of this apple. Unlike many apples, it does not brown easily when cut. Snackers and bakers give the variety high marks in consumer tastings.

Quick History – Introduced to the market in 1985, Cripps Pink originated in Australia and is a cross between Golden Delicious and Lady Williams developed in a Western Australia breeding program.

Availability - Cripps Pink is the last apple harvested in Washington state in late October. Crisp fall nights bring on the bright pink colour that gives the apple its name. Supplies of Cripps Pink last from November to August.
